How to Prepare for a Functional Nutrition Consultation




For the first consultation, it is very important to gather all the relevant information that might help to find the root causes (however, sometimes it might take more time, a few consultations, for instance, if root causes are beliefs related or more tests are needed) and the strategy towards a healthier life.


What to do exactly:


  • Fill in a Food Diary:

    • Track everything you eat and drink for 1 week before the first consultation (for follow up consultations 4 days are enough). I will provide you with a template, but feel free to use your own format.

  •  Fill in the questionnaires I provide:

    • These questionnaires are there to get a comprehensive view of your objectives, your symptoms, medical history and social situation as well as your family medical history.  This will ensure that all the concerns are addressed during the consultation. Make sure you send them to me before the consultation so that I can analyze them.

  • Gather Medical Records:

    • Send me before the consultation the copies of relevant medical records, tests results, a list (or pictures of  packaging) of medications and supplements you are currently taking.

  • Be Open and Honest:

    • The more transparent you are about your nutrition, lifestyle, habits, and challenges, the easier we can find root causes and tailor recommendations to your needs.
